I am an Irish Artist living in Frankfurt, Germany. I enjoy the colour contrast to be found in different countries and continents. I particularly enjoy the colour difference between Africa and Europe. I am not just talking about the amazing light in Africa but also the colours worn by the people there, the bazars and the colours to be found in regular vegetation, in particular fruit and vegetables. I have contrasted Tanzania and Ireland for example. Today I use neon paints to achieve spectacular variations in colours in images that react to ultraviolet light.

This is one example of this method. Same image, completely different effect. Particularly, in our troublesome times I find colour helps to brighten up our lives.

What brightens up your live?
